Re-visited a place in the West End we’ve been going to for a long time after golf rounds and it did not disappoint. For starters, the main guy remembered me… that’s an awesome feeling and just shows how much they care especially when you keep coming back. I got the student special as usual which is a shawarma wrap and a side of potatoes with sauce for $10 bucks. The garlic sauce was great could’ve been a little more garlicky but that might be a preference thing for me. Shawarma was loaded with good chicken, not life-changing chicken but good solid seasoned protein carrying chicken. After that it did feel like lettuce was acting as a bit of a filler. Nailed the hot sauce levels though, and they had a nice variety of sauces they put on and didn’t overdo. The experience was great, they were friendly, there’s seating indoor & outdoor although outdoors minimal but it’s a great little table. No bathrooms though which actually would’ve been nice in the moment. Shadi Shawarma is a great cheap spot in the west end that more often than not when I pass it I get it.
